"Romanzas de Zarzuela"

Under the artistic direction of Jim Furlong, the Hudson Guild Theatre Company will present Romanzas de Zarzuela, an interdisciplinary mix of dance, music and theatre, celebrating the Spanish genre of musical theatre called Zarzuela, a 19th century art form which blends singing, popular song and Spanish dance. HGTC will collaborate with several dance, music and theatre artists including Grammy-nominated soprano Lori Phillips, highly acclaimed pianist Matei Varga and successful choreographer Matthew Westerby and his New York-based dance company.
