Stacie Cannon Performer is a native of Portsmouth, VA. She graduated from the Conservatory of Shenandoah University in 2009 with a Bachelor's in Dance and a certification in Pilates Mat. After graduating, a love for teaching developed as Stacie worked in various dance studios in the DMV area teaching children and adults and being a lead teacher for after-school programming at Dance Place. In 2012, Stacie moved to NYC to further her studies in a ballet and contemporary certificate program at Peridance Center. She later danced with The Jinah Parker Project in the original production of SHE-a choreoplay. Stacie is currently the dance ministry leader at The Brooklyn Tabernacle, the Manager of Catalyst Programs at STEM From Dance, and is excited to be dancing in her sixth year with the Matthew Westerby Company.
